Depth Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy

Individuals seeking psychotherapy are often at a critical moment in life when their inner pain and struggles are no longer tolerable and must be acknowledged, explored, and understood.  Within the therapeutic relationship, the deepest and often unknown parts of ourselves can be gradually brought to light.  While relief from specific disorders and symptoms is an initial goal of psychotherapy, devoted attention to the process of coming to know and accept oneself and experience a renewed sense of meaning and purpose is the ultimate aim, and is essentially an interactive, creative process.

My work as a depth psychotherapist is to enter into dialogue and reflection with a person, attending to the movement and emergence of the true self. This process involves focusing on the moment-to-moment therapeutic relationship, working through inner conflicts, and exploring dreams and other manifestations of the unconscious.  Therapeutic exploration and support for the unfolding of the soul releases energy, affirms our innate potential for wholeness, and enhances the capacity to engage more fully and with a sense of aliveness in the tasks and challenges of everyday life.
